My experience with 4000 grafts at Istanbul Graft Center - 5 month update

Rekomendowane odpowiedzi

Opublikowano

Hey everyone! I wanted to share my hair transplant journey with you all. I had a FUE procedure at the Istanbul Graft Center about 5 months ago. My doctor was Dr. Mehmet Yilmaz, and I initially booked 4000 grafts for $2500, which I thought was a pretty decent deal.

I had been dealing with Norwood level 4 hair loss, mainly thinning at the temples and mid-scalp. I started taking finasteride a few months before my procedure, and I have continued with it since. The clinic was really professional, and the process itself went smoothly. They made sure I was comfortable throughout.

At this point, I can see some growth, but it's still a little patchy. I know it can take a full year to see the final results, but I’m just hoping for more coverage soon. Has anyone else had a similar experience at this stage? Would love to hear your thoughts!

Sounds like your experience has been pretty solid so far! I'm glad to hear Dr. Yilmaz made you feel comfortable. I had my FUE with Dr. Konior in Chicago about 6 months ago and can relate to the patchy growth at this stage. I think it really helps to stay patient and keep up with your meds like finasteride. It can be a tough wait but trust me, it gets better.

Have you started using any topical treatments like minoxidil? I started that a few months post-op and felt like it really helped speed up my growth. Also, did they mention anything about PRP at your clinic? I’ve read good things about it for boosting results!

Yeah, patience is key, for sure! I remember feeling that same way after my procedure. But it’s good that you’re already on finasteride - it really helps with the overall hair health. Have you thought about adding minoxidil to your routine? I started it a couple of months post-op, and I felt like it boosted the growth a bit. Also, just an idea, you might want to document your progress with photos, even if it feels slow now. It can be really motivating to see how far you’ve come over time! And if you’re not already doing it, PRP treatments can also help with healing and may enhance results. Just a thought!

Totally get where you're coming from! I had a similar experience with my FUE at HairTech Turkey a while back, and I remember the patchiness too. It can be super frustrating, but I've seen some good results around the 8-12 month mark. Aside from taking finasteride, I also incorporated PRP sessions a few months after my transplant, and I think it really helped with the density and overall health of my hair.

Speaking of treatments, did the clinic suggest any post-op care or additional products? Sometimes, the little extras can make a big difference. And yeah, documenting progress with photos was super motivating for me - it’s nice to look back and see how far you've come!

I hear you on the patchy growth, it's hard to stay positive sometimes! I had my FUE done at Dr. Feriduni's clinic in Belgium last year, and I remember feeling anxious around the 5-month mark too. One thing I found super helpful was connecting with others who were on a similar journey through social media and forums. It really helps to share pictures and experiences because it’s reassuring to see that others are in the same boat.

Also, have you thought about adjusting your diet? I started focusing on foods rich in vitamins and proteins after my procedure, and I think it made a difference. Keeping hydrated and taking biotin supplements can't hurt either! Just curious, are you planning to keep your hair short while waiting for the full results or grow it out as it fills in?

Totally understand your anxiety, man. I had my procedure at ASMED Clinic in Istanbul about a year ago, and I remember feeling a bit down around the 5-month mark too. Growth can be super unpredictable at this stage. I think what helped me cope was setting realistic expectations and giving myself a timeline for improvements. I was a NW3, so I also started using minoxidil a few weeks after my FUE, and honestly, it seemed to kick in around month 6, which was a relief!

Have you thought about getting a follow-up checkup with Dr. Yilmaz? Sometimes they can offer additional treatments or suggestions based on your progress. Also, keep in mind that every person's hair growth cycle is different, so try not to stress too much. You're doing everything right by sticking with finasteride, and hopefully, it’ll all come together soon!

Sounds like you're on the right track! When I had my FUE at Eugenix Hair Sciences in India, I also noticed slow growth at 5 months. One thing I did that might help you is to keep a photographic timeline; seeing the progress over time can really boost your morale. It might not feel like much now, but every little bit counts!

Also, have you thought about adding minoxidil to your routine? I started it around the same time as my procedure and noticed it really kicked things up a notch in terms of thickness. Just make sure to consult with your doctor first! Anyone else here tried minoxidil post-transplant and noticed a difference?

Yeah, I get the struggle with the patchy growth! I had a similar experience after my FUE at HairTech Turkey about 6 months ago. I was also a bit of a NW4 and got 3500 grafts. The growth started off slow but by around month 5, I noticed it picking up a bit. I actually tried incorporating PRP treatments after my surgery, hoping it would speed things up. I think they really helped with the overall health of my hair.

Have you considered seeing if the clinic offers any follow-up treatments? Sometimes they can suggest things like PRP or even just regular check-ins to monitor your progress. It really helped me feel like I was doing something proactive, even when the growth felt a bit slow!

Totally relate to the patchy growth phase! I had my FUE at Dr. Konior's clinic in Chicago, and it took a solid 6 months before I really started noticing more density. I think one thing that helped me was sticking to my post-op care routine religiously, including PRP sessions every few months. I also made sure to keep my scalp healthy and avoided any harsh products.

Have you thought about trying any scalp massages or techniques to stimulate the area? I've read that it can promote blood flow and maybe help with growth. Also, just a heads up, it can be really hit or miss with how your hair will come in during the first year. Some people see major improvements at 9 months, while others have to wait a full year or more. Just hang in there, and keep us posted on your journey!

It's comforting to see others experiencing similar stages in their recovery! I actually had mine done at ASMED Clinic with Dr. Koray Erdogan and had 4500 grafts about 7 months ago, and I remember feeling frustrated around the 5-month mark too. It might help to look into your scalp health; sometimes, the healing process can be affected by factors like diet or stress. Maintaing a good routine, including a balanced diet, really helped me. I also found that taking biotin alongside finasteride made a difference in overall hair health.

Have you discussed your progress with Dr. Yilmaz? Sometimes, they can provide personalized tips that make a big impact. And if you're open to it, maybe consider some scalp massages to stimulate blood flow? Just a thought!

I can totally understand the impatience! It’s crazy how long it feels waiting for the results to fully come in. I had a similar timeline with my FUE at Cosmedica Clinic in Istanbul about 6 months ago with 3700 grafts. Honestly, I noticed my hair started looking better around the 7-month mark. One thing that really helped me was using a gentle shampoo and focusing on scalp massages; I think it helped with blood circulation.

Also, have you been keeping up with your medication? I found that sticking with both minoxidil and finasteride made a huge difference in my overall hair health. It's great to hear you had a good experience with the clinic though! Just hang in there, and don't forget to document your journey. It makes comparing progress much easier in the long run.

Sounds like you’re on the right track! I had my FUE done at HairTech Turkey about a year ago, and I initially felt the same way around the 5-month mark. One thing I found really beneficial was adding biotin to my routine. I took 10,000 mcg daily, and I think it might have boosted my hair growth a bit. I also made sure to stay hydrated and eat a balanced diet with plenty of protein.

Have you noticed any changes in your hair texture or thickness yet? Sometimes it might be subtle, but it can be a good sign that your hair follicles are waking up. Also, don't underestimate the power of patience in this journey. The results can be progressive, and it sometimes takes a while for those last strands to really fill in. Keep us posted on your progress, I'd love to hear how it goes in the coming months!

Totally relate to the waiting game! I had my FUE done at Dr. Feriduni's clinic in Belgium around the same time frame and also had 4000 grafts. It was tough waiting, but around the 6-month mark, I started seeing a lot more density and coverage. One thing that helped me was incorporating PRP treatments after the surgery; I felt like it gave my hair a real boost in health and growth. Have you thought about adding any treatments like that? Also, it might be worth checking in with Dr. Yilmaz for any specific recommendations based on your progress so far. Good luck, and keep us updated!

It’s great to see so many experiences shared! I had my FUE at ASMED Clinic with Dr. Koray Erdogan about 8 months ago, and I was initially worried about my growth at this stage too. I think it really varies for everyone, but what made a difference for me was starting to use a low-level laser therapy cap a few months after my procedure. I've noticed a significant increase in thickness and overall health of my hair since then.

Also, I was wondering if anyone has tried switching up their haircare products? I changed to sulphate-free shampoo and added a nourishing conditioner, and I’ve heard that it can make a big difference in how scalp reacts post-transplant. Just curious if this is something you’ve looked into, too!

Nice to hear your journey! I had a similar experience with my FUE at Cosmedica Clinic in Istanbul, where I opted for 3500 grafts. It’s been about 6 months since I had mine, and while I was quite nervous during that 5-month mark, by month 6, I noticed my hair density improving significantly. I also started using minoxidil alongside finasteride, which I think has helped with the coverage.

By the way, have you looked into any specific hair care products? I started using a sulfate-free shampoo and a nourishing conditioner after my procedure, and I've read that can make a difference in overall hair health. It’s all about being patient, but I know how tough that can be. Just hang in there, and hopefully, you'll see more results soon!

Sounds like you’re on the right track! I had a similar experience with my FUE at the HairTech Turkey clinic, where I got 4500 grafts about 4 months ago. I'm in the same boat with patchiness, but I’ve been really diligent with my post-op routine, including sticking to minoxidil every day. I’ve also been trying out some scalp massages to help stimulate blood flow.

One thing I found really helpful was connecting with a few other patients who had similar procedures around the same time. It really eases the anxiety of waiting when you can share updates and tips. Have you thought about doing any scalp health treatments like microneedling? It’s been said to enhance absorption of topical treatments if you’re up for it!

Awesome to see everyone sharing their stories! I had my FUE at Dr. Feriduni's clinic in Belgium about 7 months ago, with 3500 grafts. At month 5, I felt like my results were still pretty uneven, but by month 6, it started to fill in quite nicely. I also did PRP treatments two months post-op, and I really think that played a role in the improved hair growth I’ve seen since then.

It’s definitely a waiting game, but try not to stress too much about minimal growth at the 5-month mark. I’ve heard from others that patience is key. By the way, have you thought about incorporating any additional treatments like PRP, or maybe even looking into LLLT if you haven't already? Just curious how your post-op routine looks aside from the fin!

Thanks for sharing your journey! It's always interesting to hear from others at similar stages. It seems like patience is key with these things. I had my FUE at ASMED Clinic with Dr. Koray Erdogan last year, and I remember feeling anxious at the 5-month mark too. I opted for 5000 grafts, and while I saw some progress, it was pretty patchy at first.

What really boosted my results, though, was when I added a daily vitamin regime that included biotin and some B vitamins. It took a few months, but I feel like my hair started to thicken up as a result. Have you considered adding any vitamins to your routine? Sometimes it can make a big difference in the overall health of your hair!

So cool to see everyone's updates! I'm curious about your experience with post-op care. After my FUE at DHI Global Athens with Dr. Andreas Weber, I followed a pretty strict routine of minoxidil and PRP treatments starting about a month out. By month 5, I noticed significant changes compared to the earlier patchiness! I also made sure to stay hydrated and eat a balanced diet to help with recovery. For anyone going through this, have you tried adding any supplements like biotin or saw palmetto to your routine? I found those helpful too, especially managing hair health overall.

It's great to hear everyone's experiences! I'm really interested in how you guys handled any side effects from the medications. I had my procedure at HairTech Turkey with Dr. Roberto Silva about 6 months ago, and while I loved the results, I did face some minor side effects from finasteride, like a bit of a decreased libido. I was nervous about it at first, but it eventually balanced out after a couple of months. Also, I started using minoxidil around the same time and have seen some good growth. Just wondering if anyone else had similar experiences adjusting to finasteride or any other meds around the same time as the transplant. Curious to see how others managed that part of the journey!

Nice update! I think patience really is the name of the game with hair transplants. After my FUE at Medikap Clinic in Izmir with Dr. Kim Sung-ho last year, it took around 7 months before I felt confident in my progress. Initially, it was definitely a rollercoaster of emotions seeing the hair come in slowly.

One thing that helped me was beginning PRP treatments a month after my surgery. I noticed a decent improvement in density as the months passed. I’ve also heard that keeping a healthy diet rich in vitamins like biotin and omega-3s can really help with hair growth. Have you thought about adding anything like that to your routine?

Also, did they mention anything at the clinic about the possibility of using special shampoos or conditioners to support growth? I used a gentle formula recommended by my doctor, which was a nice addition!

Totally relate to the patchy stage, I've been there! I had my FUE with Dr. Feriduni in Belgium about 8 months ago, and I remember thinking the same thing. It’s so tough not to get discouraged, but honestly, the waiting is just part of the journey. I did a lot of research beforehand and during my recovery, and I found that incorporating biotin and a good hair care routine really helped. Also, about the growth timeline, I started noticing real changes around month 6. The first 5 months felt like an eternity, but the results really started to fill in afterward. Have you thought about adding any treatments like PRP down the line? I've heard it can boost the results even more post-transplant.

It's interesting to hear about everyone's experiences so far! I'm currently considering a FUE procedure myself, and I've been hearing a lot about Dr. Koray Erdogan at ASMED Clinic. I've seen some remarkable results from patients who went with him, especially with hairline work. I just wonder, for those who used finasteride, have you noticed any improvements in density or thickness beyond what the transplant has provided? I want to make sure I'm maximizing my results!

Also, I’ve read that using minoxidil alongside can really aid in thickening existing hair. Has anyone found that to be beneficial? Just trying to figure out the best approach before I make my decision. Thanks in advance for any insights!

Sounds like you're on the right track! I had my FUE with Dr. Lorenzo in Madrid about a year ago now, and I can totally relate to the patchy growth experience. I remember at the 5-month mark, my results were still pretty uneven, and I started to get worried. But by around 8-9 months, things really picked up for me, and I noticed a significant improvement in density and coverage.

One thing that helped was sticking to my finasteride regimen, but I also added minoxidil about two months post-op, and I felt that really kicked things up a notch. Have you thought about trying minoxidil? Some people swear by it for boosting regrowth alongside the transplant. Also, don’t forget to be gentle with your hair and avoid harsh treatments during this early growth phase!

It's good to see you're getting some growth already, even if it's patchy. After my FUE at HairTech Turkey a while back, I found that my results really started to change around the 7-8 month mark. So hang in there! One thing I did differently was using minoxidil alongside finasteride, and I think it helped boost the results a bit. Have you considered adding any PRP treatments to your routine? I read it can potentially accelerate the healing and growth process. Also, how's your donor area healing? I had some irritation at first, but it got better over time. Would love to hear more about your experience with the clinic too!
