My 3500 graft Sapphire FUE with Dr. Hasan in Ankara - 3 month update

Glad to hear things are moving in the right direction for you! I just wanted to add my two cents from my experience with Dr. Feriduni in Belgium. I had 4500 grafts about 4 months ago, and while I did have a rough shedding phase, I noticed that I started seeing some substantial growth around month 3 as well. One thing I wish someone had told me before was that patience is crucial; sometimes it feels like you're not getting anywhere, but then suddenly you'll look in the mirror and see a bunch of new hairs popping up!

Also, I’m big on the supplements side of things. Aside from finasteride and minoxidil, I added PRP treatments to my routine after the transplant, and I can’t help but wonder how much that has helped. Just a thought for those considering additional treatments!

Have you thought about adding anything like that to your routine? Would love to hear if anyone else has had PRP treatments alongside their transplants!

It's great to see others sharing their experiences too! I had a Sapphire FUE with Dr. Rahal in Ottawa about 6 months ago, where they transplanted 4000 grafts. Just like you all, I went through that shedding phase, and boy was it nerve-wracking! However, after the 4-month mark, I saw a major turnaround. For anyone who is worried about results, I'd say give it some time. Something I found super helpful was PRP treatments after the transplant; my clinic recommended them, and I think they really boosted the growth.

Also, I’ve read that the first year is critical for results, so hang in there! Have any of you tried adding hair vitamins or other supplements to your routine? I’m curious if it made a difference for your growth speed or quality!

Sounds like you're on a solid path with your results! I just wanted to chime in with my own experience. I had a Sapphire FUE with Dr. Konior in Chicago about 8 months ago. They did 3000 grafts for around $5500, and I was also on finasteride and minoxidil. I went through a rough patch during shedding too, but by month 5, I was really surprised at how much growth I had. One thing I've noticed is that everyone’s timeline is different, so just stay patient.

Also, I think your choice of using the Sapphire technique is excellent! I've heard it can lead to less trauma and faster healing. Have you been doing any PRP treatments? I started them a couple months after my surgery, and I really think they helped boost the growth. Anyway, stay positive - you’ll be amazed at how much can change in just a few months!

Really interesting to hear about everyone's experiences! I’m currently considering a similar procedure but leaning towards HairTech Turkey in Istanbul. I’ve read that they have a great reputation for Sapphire FUE as well, and their prices are competitive. I'm curious if anyone has had results from there lately?

Also, it seems like a lot of us are using finasteride and minoxidil. I’ve heard some people mention incorporating PRP treatments post-op to boost growth even more. Has anyone tried that alongside their hair transplant? I’d love to know if you felt it made a difference in your results!

Nice to see all these experiences! I just wanted to throw in my two cents. I had a Sapphire FUE with Dr. Feriduni in Belgium about 5 months ago, and it was a similar journey. They did 3500 grafts for around $7500. I wasn't on any medication before the surgery, but I started finasteride and minoxidil right after.

The first few months were tough, especially the shedding, but I've noticed that my hair is starting to come in thicker now. I'm just past the 5-month mark, and I can see some really promising growth. I think it’s important to keep in mind that everyone's results can vary a lot. For those unsure about the timeline, I’d say patience is key. Also, if anyone is considering the European route like I did, I can share more about the process at Dr. Feriduni's clinic!

That's awesome to hear you're seeing some early results! I had a similar experience with Dr. Lorenzo in Madrid about 4 months ago. I opted for a DHI technique with 4000 grafts for around $6000. It was different since I took a break from finasteride before the procedure, but I'm back on it now. The shedding was definitely a bummer, but I've started noticing some growth coming in as well, and I'm hopeful it will continue.

Something I learned is keeping up with scalp health is key too. I've been using PRP treatments along with minoxidil, and I've read a couple of studies that suggest it can really support new hair growth. Anyone else gone that route? Would love to hear if you've noticed a difference with PRP!

Glad to hear about your progress! I actually went to the Istanbul Budget Hair Clinic for my Sapphire FUE about 6 months ago, and I had 3000 grafts done for around $3500. The initial results were pretty slow to come in, and I went through a wild shedding phase much like yours. I wasn't on medication before the procedure either, but started finasteride a month after. I’ve noticed a lot of changes recently, though I feel like the growth is still patchy in some spots.

One thing I learned is that everyone's experience can be so different. I've read that some guys see amazing growth at 6 months while others might not see full results until the 12 month mark. Do you plan on continuing with minoxidil for the long haul? I've heard it can help with maintaining what you've got too, not just for growth.
