My FUE journey with Dr. Konior - 6 month update

Rekomendowane odpowiedzi

Opublikowano

Hey everyone, just wanted to share my experience a few months post-op with Dr. Konior in Chicago. I had a 3000 graft FUE procedure done about six months ago. I was a NW4 going into the procedure, so I was really hoping for some major improvements.

The process at the clinic was pretty seamless and the staff was super supportive. I paid around $7500 for the entire procedure, which included a post-op PRP treatment. I was on finasteride and minoxidil for about a year before I made the decision to go for the transplant.

Fast forward to now, and I am really pleased with the results so far. My hairline is filling in nicely and I feel way more confident. I still have some areas that could use more density, but the progress has been encouraging. Anyone else here been through a procedure with Dr. Konior? Would love to hear your experiences!

Your progress sounds awesome! Dr. Konior is definitely known for his skill with FUE. I had my procedure with Dr. Wesley in New York around the same time as you, and I had 2500 grafts done. I also added PRP to my package, and I think it’s made a difference. Did you notice any shedding in the first few months? I had a bit, which freaked me out, but I learned it was part of the process.

Anyway, I think addressing density issues is pretty common, especially with larger procedures. Have you talked to Dr. Konior about it yet? I’m curious how long post-op care typically lasts at his clinic.

Thanks for sharing your journey! It’s great to hear that you're seeing good results. I had my FUE with Dr. Lorenzo in Madrid about 7 months ago, and I experienced a fair bit of shedding at first too. It’s unsettling, but it sounds like it’s normal.

I actually noticed that my hair started to thicken up around the 5-month mark, which really boosted my confidence just like it seems to have for you. Did the clinic go over what to expect in terms of growth at your post-op check-ins? Dr. Lorenzo's team prepared me well, which helped ease my worries. I hope your density improves even more in the coming months!

Glad to hear things are going well for you! I've been looking into Dr. Konior as well because I’m considering a similar procedure. I was also a NW4, and I'm curious about how you felt right after the surgery. Did you have any discomfort or swelling? I read that some patients experience a lot of swelling post-op, but they say it usually goes away quickly. By the way, have you been using any specific shampoos or treatments since the surgery? I’ve heard some products can help with the recovery process, especially in terms of keeping the scalp healthy.

It's awesome to hear about your positive progress! I had my FUE with Dr. Feriduni in Belgium around the same time as you, and it's interesting to see the variety of experiences. I paid around $6000 for 2800 grafts and I'm also on finasteride and minoxidil. One thing I've noticed is that the quality of hair growth can differ significantly based on graft placement. Are you currently considering any additional treatments to enhance density in those areas that still need improvement? I’ve been thinking about getting some PRP done again for the added boost, especially since I noticed my hair got a bit thinner in a couple of spots recently.

Super happy for your progress! I'm in a similar boat after getting my FUE done with Dr. Bisanga in Brussels about 5 months ago, and I can relate to the mix of hope and anxiety. I had 3500 grafts and paid around $7000, and I noticed that some areas took longer to show growth, especially at the crown. You mentioned you're also seeing some areas needing more density - are you planning to do anything about that, like a second session or additional treatments?

It’s interesting how the response to finasteride and minoxidil can vary. I had some initial shedding too, but it seems like my hair is finally picking up the pace. Have you thought about using PRP again for added boost? I read it can help with density and growth, especially in the early stages. Just curious what your next steps are!

Nice to see so many positive experiences shared! I actually had my FUE with Dr. Rahal in Ottawa about six weeks ago, so I’m still in the early stages. I went for 2000 grafts and my total was around $5000. Right now, I’m just starting to notice some of the tiny hairs coming through, which is promising!

One thing I found really helpful was their post-op care routine. They recommended a special serum to promote healing and growth, and I’ve been sticking to it religiously. Did Dr. Konior’s team give you any specific aftercare instructions? I'm curious if there are any differences in recovery protocols since I’ve heard they can vary a lot from clinic to clinic.

Also, did you find the PRP treatment made a significant difference in your results? I’ve been thinking about adding it to my regimen down the line if I see good results.

That's great to hear about your journey so far! I'm curious, have you thought about getting additional treatments to boost density in those areas? After my FUE with Dr. Lorenzo in Madrid last year, I went for a PRP session about 4 months post-op and it really helped kickstart some extra growth. I had 2500 grafts and spent around $5500, and I’ve seen a noticeable difference since then. I know it’s not a guaranteed fix, but for me, it made the waiting game a bit more bearable. What do you think about adding something like that to your routine?

Nice update! It's awesome that you're seeing improvement after just six months. I had my FUE done with Dr. Feriduni in Hasselt, Belgium around the same time as your procedure. I went for 2500 grafts and spent about $4800, and I'm in a similar boat with a NW4. My hairline has filled in pretty well, but I noticed the crown area is a little slow to catch up too.

I'm curious if you were given any specific advice for maintaining your results? My clinic emphasized the importance of scalp care and regular PRP sessions, which have made a difference for me. I'm also on finasteride and minoxidil as well, and I wonder if those have played a part in your recovery. Have you experienced any side effects from the meds?

It's great that you're feeling more confident after your FUE with Dr. Konior! I was also considering him for my transplant. I recently spoke to someone who had a similar procedure there about a year ago, and they mentioned that Dr. Konior has a pretty good follow-up process. They got their PRP treatments included which apparently made a big difference in their density too.

Curious about your experience with the aftercare though. Did Dr. Konior's team provide you a specific regimen to follow post-op? I've heard some clinics are really strict about it, while others are more laid back. Also, how has your finasteride regimen been? I've read mixed reviews on that as well, with some saying it's crucial for maintaining results.

By the way, I saw some impressive before-and-after pics from other patients of Dr. Konior, and their results were really encouraging. Would love to hear more about how your hair is progressing and if you have any tips for maintaining it!

Thanks for sharing your journey! I've been doing a lot of research on Dr. Konior, and it sounds like he really knows what he's doing. You mentioned being on finasteride and minoxidil; have you noticed any side effects from them? I’ve heard mixed reviews about those meds. I’m currently planning to undergo an FUE with Dr. Bisanga in Brussels next month for 3000 grafts as well, and I’m wondering if I should start on those meds beforehand. It's a bit daunting, but I’m really hoping for similar results to yours.

Also, have you looked into any products or therapies to enhance your results? I came across some good reviews on laser therapy devices that claim to help with density. Just thought it might be worth considering while you're still in the early recovery phase!

Sounds like both of you are making great progress! I had my FUE with Dr. Lorenzo in Madrid about eight months ago, and I had a similar experience with the post-op care. I went for 3500 grafts and paid around $6000. It's funny how those early months of waiting can feel like an eternity, right? I was a NW3 before my procedure, and I’m definitely seeing a lot of nice new growth. I was actually on dutasteride for a while before switching to finasteride, and I didn’t experience any major side effects, just some minor itching initially.

One thing I’ve noticed that might be worth sharing is that maintaining a healthy diet and staying hydrated really helped with my recovery and growth phases. Just my two cents! Have you guys ever considered if you want to get a second procedure down the line for density? I'm contemplating going back to see if I can get a bit more fullness in my crown area, which is still a bit sparse compared to the front.

Awesome to hear about everyone's progress! I just wanted to chime in with my experience with Dr. Konior, too. I had my FUE done last year around the same time you did, and honestly, it’s been quite the ride. I had 2500 grafts and paid around $7000. The best part was that my hair started coming in a bit earlier than expected, which totally surprised me!

One thing I’d recommend is keeping up with PRP treatments if you can; I did three sessions after my transplant, and I really think they helped with the density and overall hair health. I’m also curious about your post-op care. Did you have any issues with scabbing or shedding? I had a few spots that took longer to heal, but everything turned out fine in the end. How are you finding the maintenance routine now, especially with the fin and min? I find it’s a bit of a hassle but worth it in the long run!

It's cool to see such positive vibes about Dr. Konior! I’m still on the fence about committing to a transplant, but hearing about your experiences is really helpful. I was actually considering getting a consult with Dr. Feriduni in Belgium, as he has some good reviews too. Has anyone compared the naturalness of results between Dr. Konior and Dr. Feriduni? Also, I’ve read that keeping realistic expectations is key. Did any of you feel like your expectations were met in terms of density and hairline design? I’d love to know more about the long-term outlook from people who’ve been a bit further out from their procedures!

Glad to hear you're all experiencing good results! I'm still in the research phase and I'm leaning towards Dr. Konior as well. One question though - how important do you think it is to get PRP done not just post-op but also a few times after? I've heard mixed things about it, so I'd love to know how it helped with your healing and growth. Also, I have NW2 and am considering around 2000 grafts; do you think that’s enough for decent coverage in the hairline? Appreciate any insights!

Great to hear about your journeys! I'm thinking about getting a hair transplant, too, and Dr. Konior is definitely on my radar. I noticed the discussion about PRP, and I totally agree it seems to play a big role. From what I’ve read, some patients get extra sessions after the initial treatment, and they report improved hair thickness and accelerated growth. I’m curious, for those who did additional PRP, how long after your surgery did you start those sessions?

Also, I’ve been considering getting around 2500 grafts since I’m at NW3. I want to make sure my donor area has enough for a future touch-up if needed. I’ve seen some folks recommend consulting with Dr. Hasson & Wong as well for natural-looking hairlines. Have any of you compared Dr. Konior’s work to theirs? I’ve heard good things but would love personal insights.

Nice to see such excitement about Dr. Konior! What I think is interesting is that some guys swear by using minoxidil right after their transplant in addition to PRP. I read that it might help kickstart the growth of those newly transplanted grafts. Has anyone here tried that? I’m currently NW3 and considering about 2500 grafts. The price and results seem pretty consistent with what I’ve seen for Dr. Konior, but I’m also looking at some clinics in Turkey since they have really competitive prices. Would love to hear if there are any notable differences in quality between the clinics there and in the US. It seems like there are good options everywhere these days!

It's awesome to hear your positive experience with Dr. Konior! I had my FUE with him about a year ago, and I was a NW5 before the procedure. I opted for 3500 grafts, which cost me around $8000 including PRP. Honestly, I noticed improvement pretty quickly; the first few months were a bit of a rollercoaster with the shedding and regrowth, but by the six-month mark, I was really starting to see the thickness come through.

Regarding PRP, I decided to do a couple of extra sessions after my initial treatment, and I think it made a difference. My hair feels fuller, and I think my overall healing was smoother. I’ve also been on dutasteride since the transplant, which I hear can help with maintaining the results long-term. Any thoughts on that from others here?

Also, one tip I’d give to those just starting out is to set realistic expectations. My hairline is definitely better, but I still have some areas where I wish there was more density. It’s been a journey, but overall, I’m happy with my decision!

I'm glad to read everyone's experiences with Dr. Konior! I had my FUE with him about eight months ago, and I was a NW6 going into it, so I was pretty concerned about density. I went for a larger 4000 grafts and paid around $8500, which included a couple of PRP sessions. One thing I found really helpful during recovery was using a gentle shampoo recommended by the clinic; it helped with itchiness without irritating my scalp.

The initial months were tough, with a lot of shedding, but I started to see new growth around the four-month mark. It's wild to see the changes, and I feel a lot more youthful now! For anyone considering it, I highly recommend sticking with your finasteride and minoxidil routine throughout the process. Can't wait to see how things progress in the next few months! Are there specific timelines you all followed for adding in more PRP sessions after your transplants?

That's really great to hear about your results with Dr. Konior! I did a bit of research before jumping into my FUE journey and found that some patients also swear by microneedling around the two to four month mark to help stimulate growth. I'm curious if anyone here has tried that? I’m NW4 too, and I’m considering around 2800 grafts at a different clinic soon. The prices vary so much, but I’ve seen packages around $5000 with PRP included, which feels like a steal compared to what you guys have mentioned. I’d love to hear more about your post-op care and if you faced any unexpected challenges during those first few months!

It's awesome to see so many positive experiences with Dr. Konior! I've been thinking about getting a procedure done myself and I'm currently NW4 as well. Just a quick question for those who've done it - how long did it take before you were comfortable with styling your hair normally? I’m a bit nervous about the initial awkward phases post-transplant. Also, did you stick strictly to minoxidil and finasteride, or did you add anything extra like biotin or amino acids to help with recovery? Any tips would be super helpful!

Thanks for sharing your update! I'm curious about your post-op PRP treatment - did you notice any significant improvement after that? I’ve read mixed reviews on how effective it is in boosting hair growth after FUE, especially since I’m considering a procedure soon myself. Also, did your clinic provide any specific aftercare instructions that you found particularly helpful? I’m NW3 and planning on around 2500 grafts, so any tips would be super useful!

Glad to hear you're all experiencing such great results! I had my FUE done with Dr. Konior as well, but it was about a year ago. I went for 3200 grafts because I was at a NW5 and really wanted a fuller look. I think one aspect that helped me was my decision to add dutasteride into my routine alongside finasteride about four months post-op. It seems to have made a difference in preventing further hair loss.

Also, for those worried about styling, I started using a light hold styling cream around the 3-month mark. It helped camouflage the uneven growth while waiting for full results. I know there's that awkward phase, but honestly embracing some flexibility in styles made things easier. Anyone else tried different products during that phase? What did you find worked best? I'm curious to get more tips!
