Review: My 4000 graft FUE with Dr. Feriduni - 5 month update

Rekomendowane odpowiedzi

Opublikowano
Hey everyone, I just wanted to share my experience with my hair transplant journey. I had a 4000 graft FUE procedure done by Dr. Feriduni in Hasselt, Belgium about 5 months ago. Being a NW5, I was really anxious about the whole process, but Dr. Feriduni's team made me feel comfortable and answered all my questions before and after the surgery. The clinic was very modern and the staff was incredibly professional. I paid around 6500 euros for the whole procedure, which I felt was worth it given the level of care I received. Post-op, I was on minoxidil and finasteride to support my hair growth. The first month was a little rough as I experienced some swelling and shock loss, but I was told that was normal. Now at the 5 month mark, I'm starting to see new hair growth and it's becoming more noticeable day by day. I can’t say I have a full head of hair yet, but I am definitely optimistic about the final results. If anyone is considering Dr. Feriduni, I highly recommend him! I’ll keep updating with my progress as time goes on.

Sounds like you had a great experience with Dr. Feriduni! I’ve been looking into hair transplants myself, and I'm particularly curious about the recovery timeline. You mentioned some swelling and shock loss, which I hear is common. How long did it take for you to start feeling more normal after the procedure? Also, I’m interested in how the minoxidil and finasteride have been working for you. Did you notice any side effects or issues with them during the first few months? I’m considering getting a procedure done myself, but I want to make sure I’m well-prepared!

Nice update! Glad to hear you’re seeing some progress. I had a similar experience with my transplant but went with Dr. Lorenzo in Madrid with 3500 grafts about 6 months ago. My swelling lasted about a week, but I didn’t get much shock loss, which was a relief. I was using minoxidil as well, and it seemed to kick in pretty quickly after the initial redness faded.

I'm curious, did you use any specific skincare or aftercare products post-op? I found that gentle shampoos and avoiding direct sun exposure helped a lot during the healing phase. Also, are you planning to continue with minoxidil and finasteride long-term? I read somewhere that sticking with those can really make a difference in maintaining results.

Thanks for sharing your journey! It's cool to see how everyone's experience can be so different. I had a transplant with the Istanbul Budget Hair Clinic about a year ago, and while I had a good outcome, the first few months were a bit of a rollercoaster for me, especially with the hair shedding. I was on a similar regimen of minoxidil and finasteride, and I noticed that I had a pretty good recovery by the three-month mark. So, it sounds like you're on track!

Also, from what I’ve read and heard from others, it can take up to a full year to see the final results, so just be patient. Have you thought about whether you’ll continue with the medications long-term? I’ve heard mixed opinions on that.

It’s great to see how well you’re doing after just 5 months! I’ve been looking into clinics and was considering HairTech Turkey, but now I’m curious about the differences in technique between doctors like Dr. Feriduni and those at other clinics. Have you thought about how the graft handling has affected your results? I’ve read that FUE techniques can vary significantly and that may impact growth speed and overall hair density.

Also, I’ve heard that some patients benefit from additional treatments like PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) alongside their regimens. Did you look into that at all? I’m wondering if it’s worth the extra cost or if the basic minoxidil and finasteride combo is enough. Keep us updated on how things progress!

Awesome to hear you're seeing some growth after only 5 months! I think it's really interesting how different clinics approach the healing process. I had my FUE at ASMED Clinic in Istanbul with 4500 grafts last year, and I remember feeling the same anxiety about how things would turn out. One thing I noticed was that they emphasized PRP treatments post-surgery, which I think helped kickstart my growth. Have you considered any additional treatments like PRP to further support your results? It can be a bit of an investment but might be worth it if you're looking for that extra boost.

It's cool to see your update! I had my procedure with Dr. Lorenzo in Madrid about a year ago, and I can relate to that initial shock loss feeling. I remember getting super anxious about it, but then it started to turn around around the 4-5 month mark. For me, it really kicked in around month 6, so you've got a lot to look forward to!

I was on a similar regimen with minoxidil and finasteride, but I also incorporated PRP treatments after my FUE. I think it really helped with the overall healing and growth. Have you considered adding PRP to your post-op care? I’ve heard it can boost results significantly. Anyway, looking forward to your next update!

Nice update! It's always encouraging to hear positive stories like yours. I’m actually considering Dr. Feriduni for my own FUE, and your experience makes me feel more confident about it. A quick question though - did you notice any difference in your donor area's healing compared to what you expected? I’ve read that some patients have issues with scarring or uneven regrowth in that area post-op.

Also, I’m curious if you’ve started any additional treatments or supplements besides minoxidil and finasteride. I’ve heard some guys swear by PRP or even biotin for better results. Just want to make sure I’m covering all the bases before I go through with it!

Sounds promising! I think it's great that you're feeling optimistic already. I had my FUE with Dr. Konior in Chicago about 6 months ago, and while I didn't experience shock loss like you, I definitely had my doubts when the new growth started coming in unevenly. I was on finasteride and biotin during recovery, and they seemed to help with the overall health of my hair.

As for the donor area, I was prepped to expect some visible scarring, but I was pleasantly surprised at how well it healed. It’s almost like the donor area was back to normal by the 3-month mark. Have you noticed any scarring yet? It's always good to know what to expect in that area since it can be just as noticeable as the results you get on the recipient side!

That’s awesome to hear you're seeing progress! I had a similar experience with Dr. Hasson & Wong in Vancouver last year and ended up on minoxidil too. For me, the new hairs started coming in strong around month 5 but I did notice some weird patchiness up until then. It can be frustrating but I hear that it usually evens out as things mature.

Regarding donor area healing, I found that keeping it moisturized really helped my skin recover quicker. Did you have any specific post-op care instructions from Dr. Feriduni's clinic? I was told to avoid sun exposure and wash gently, which made a big difference for me. I think it’s cool to see guys like us sharing our journeys; it really gives hope to others considering the procedure!

Thanks for sharing your journey! 5 months is a crucial time in seeing how things are progressing. I had my FUE with Dr. Lorenzo in Madrid and was super nervous about the initial results. It took a while for my new hair to come in evenly, and I found that taking PRP sessions afterward really helped stimulate growth.

I also went through some phases of patchiness, but now looking back, it seems all those concerns were pretty standard. I’d be curious to hear about your experience with minoxidil. Did you stick to the routine consistently? I found that staying on top of my regimen helped me feel like I was contributing to my results.

By the way, have you noticed any changes in your overall hair texture or health since starting the treatments? I think that aspect often gets overlooked.

That's great to hear you're starting to see some good results! I had a bit of a different experience with Dr. Koray Erdogan in Istanbul last year. I paid around $3000 for 3500 grafts, and even though I was a NW4, my hair started coming in quite evenly by the 4-month mark. I was also on minoxidil and took PRP sessions a couple of months after the transplant, which I really believe helped boost my growth.

I'm curious, did you have any side effects from the medications? I had some minor shedding at first due to the minoxidil, but it settled down, and I've been loving the fullness since!

As for the donor area, mine healed pretty quickly, but I made sure to follow all the aftercare instructions meticulously. Keeping it clean and moisturized really helped.

I totally get the anxiety around the initial healing and growth phases! I did 3000 grafts with Dr. Bisanga in Brussels last year, and I had a rough time in the early months too. My growth didn’t really kick in until around month 6, and I remember feeling super paranoid about the patchiness. I also found that using a dermaroller once a week helped with circulation and my overall scalp health. If you’re considering PRP sessions later on, I’d recommend it - those really helped me see some quicker results even after the initial transplant phase. How's your experience with minoxidil been? I had a bit of irritation with it, but it was worth it for my results. Can't wait to see your updates!

That's awesome to hear you're seeing progress! I had a similar experience with my 4500 graft FUE at HairTech Turkey a few months ago. The first couple of months were tough, with some pretty noticeable shock loss, but around month 5 is when I started to see promising signs too. I was on both finasteride and minoxidil as well, and honestly, I think the combo really helped in keeping my existing hair while the new hairs were coming in.

One thing that surprised me was how much hydration played a role in my recovery-drinking plenty of water and focusing on scalp health with some light massages made a difference. Have you tried incorporating any specific hair care products during this phase, or are you just sticking with the basic regime? It's fascinating to see how different clinics have varying results, but it sounds like Dr. Feriduni is doing a great job!

It's encouraging to hear about everyone's experiences! I'm actually considering a similar procedure and I've been looking at different clinics. I’ve heard good things about Dr. Hasson & Wong in Vancouver for FUE, but the costs are quite high compared to Turkey or Belgium. Can anyone share their thoughts on what factors really justify those higher prices?

Also, if you don't mind me asking, did any of you notice changes in your donor area after the procedure? I’m a bit concerned about the scarring and how noticeable it might be in the long run.

Thanks again for sharing your journeys!

For sure, the price difference can be pretty wild! I think it often comes down to the amenities and the level of post-op care you receive. I had my FUE done at ASMED Clinic in Istanbul, and while I paid around 3500 euros for 5000 grafts, the service was top-notch, and the follow-up was really thorough. I heard about Dr. Hasson & Wong’s excellent reputation, but I think a lot of it also depends on what you're looking for in terms of experience and comfort during the procedure. One thing I found helpful was to connect with previous patients from the clinics you're considering. Some clinics even offer forums or groups where you can ask questions directly. Plus, did you know that asking for before and after pics from the clinic can give you a better idea of what to expect? I learned that the hard way. Keeping up with your medications like fin and minox seems crucial too, since they really stabilize growth during those early months.

Sounds like you're on the right track! I had my FUE with Dr. Lorenzo in Madrid about 7 months ago, and I paid around 6000 euros for 4500 grafts. The initial months were a rollercoaster too, especially with the shock loss, but by month 6, my hair really started to fill in. I was on minoxidil and added PRP treatments after the first month, which people say can boost growth even more. Just curious, are you planning to stick with the meds long-term? I've found they're super helpful for maintenance.

Also, if you're already seeing some growth at 5 months, that's a good sign! I remember being nervous waiting for those first sprouts to come in. Patience really is key with these things, but it's good to hear you're staying optimistic!

That's awesome to hear about your progress! I think it's great that you're on minoxidil and finasteride; I did the same after my FUE with Cosmedica Clinic in Istanbul, and honestly, I felt like it made a huge difference in my results. I'm about 6 months post-op now, and I noticed that the hair started really thickening around the 5-month mark, just like you experienced.

I wanted to ask, did you experience any itching or discomfort as your hair started growing in? I found that to be pretty common during the early stages, and it can be a bit disconcerting. Also, have you thought about adding PRP treatments down the line? That was suggested to me, and I think it really helps with overall hair density! Anyway, keep us posted on your journey!

It's interesting how different experiences can be with various doctors and clinics. I had my FUE with Dr. Bisanga in Brussels about 6 months ago, and while I had a similar price point around 6000 euros for 4000 grafts, my recovery was a bit different. I had virtually no swelling but experienced some dryness and irritation in the donor area for the first month. I didn’t use minoxidil right away, mainly because I was unsure, but after seeing my progress on a few forums, I decided to start it around the 3-month mark. It's amazing how personal each journey can be. How are you feeling about your hair growth now? Are you still using the same regimen, or have you added anything new?

That's great to hear about your progress! I'm currently considering a hair transplant myself, and Dr. Feriduni is definitely on my list. Did you notice any side effects from the medications you were on? I've read mixed reviews about finasteride, and some people say it caused them some unwanted effects. Also, how has the density turned out for you? I'm a little worried about the final look and whether 4000 grafts will be enough for a NW5. Any insights would be super helpful!

It's cool to see everyone's journey! I got my FUE done at HairTech Turkey a few months ago - I had 3500 grafts for about $2000. My experience was pretty smooth, but I did have a bit more swelling than I expected around week one. I think the most challenging part was just waiting for the growth to kick in. I’m about 4 months post-op now, and I’m finally noticing some new hair coming in, although it’s not as thick as I hoped yet.

Regarding the medications, I was on finasteride too, and I didn’t really notice any side effects. It seems to work differently for everyone. Have you thought about trying any PRP treatments? I’ve read that they can help boost growth post-surgery. That said, I’m still optimistic about my results especially as I can see a faint hairline coming in. Just gotta keep being patient!

That's awesome to hear you're seeing results! I had my FUE done at ASMED Clinic with Dr. Koray Erdogan about 8 months ago, and I can relate to the anxiousness around waiting for hair growth. It was tough for me during the initial months as well. I started with 3000 grafts at a price point around $3500, and honestly, seeing the progress took a solid 6 months before things really started filling in well.

As for side effects, I did have some initial issues with finasteride, like a little weight gain and some mood swings, but it stabilized after a few months. I wonder if the side effects vary by patient, or if it depends on the dosage? I think keeping realistic expectations is key, especially in the early stages when you might feel like you’re not seeing much. Have you thought about PRP treatments to encourage growth? I did a few sessions after my surgery and felt it helped with overall density.

Keep us posted on your results!

Just wanted to chime in on the finasteride topic! I was on it for about a year before my FUE with Dr. Lorenzo in Madrid. I had some mild side effects at first, like a little bit of reduced libido, but they settled down after a couple of months. I think it really did help me keep what I had before the transplant. I paid about 4000 euros for 3000 grafts, and my results are coming in nicely at the 6-month mark. As for density, I think it really depends on the surgeon's technique and the quality of the grafts. I’ve seen some people get great results from clinics in Turkey too, but I felt more comfortable staying in Europe for mine. I’m definitely beginning to see more coverage at the crown, which is a relief! Anyone else had a similar experience where the crown took longer to fill in?

Nice update! I'm also planning to go with Dr. Feriduni for my FUE procedure next month and your experience is super helpful. I’ve been doing a lot of research, and it’s great to hear someone rave about the clinic. I’ll be going for 3000 grafts and the estimated cost is around 5500 euros. I’m a bit worried about the recovery process though. You mentioned swelling - how long did it take for that to go down for you? Also, did you have any issues with the donor area during the healing phase? I’m curious about how that part went for you. I’ll be on minoxidil post-op too, so hoping it helps speed things along!

Sounds like you're on the right track! Dr. Feriduni has a solid reputation, and it's cool to see how your journey is unfolding. Regarding the recovery process, I remember being really concerned about shock loss too, but a friend of mine who had a similar procedure told me it’s usually temporary. After about a month, he was seeing some of the new hair peeking through, so hopefully, you’ll have a similar experience! Just a heads-up though, if you’re not already using PRP (platelet-rich plasma), it might be something to consider. I’ve read some good things about it enhancing recovery and promoting growth post-transplant. Anyway, best of luck with your upcoming procedure! Looking forward to hearing how it goes!
